Description:

Nanocs SnapLink Biotin PEG pyridyl dithiol, also called Biotin PEG PDA, Biotin PEG PDP or Biotin PEG OPSS, is a cleavable thiol/sulfhydryl reactive biotin reagent enables simple and efficient labeling of proteins, antibodies and other macromolecules. The hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm imparts water solubility that is transferred to the biotinylated molecules , thus reducing aggregation of labeled substrates in solution. The PEG spacer arm also gives the biotin a long and flexible structure to minimize steric hindrance for binding to streptavidin or avdins. Pyridyl dithiol group reacts efficiently with reduced sulfhydryl group (-SH) in neutral to alkaline pH in aqueous buffer to form a disulfide bond that can be cleaved with disulfide bond reducing reagents such as DTT. Nanocs provides a variety of high purity biotin and its derivatives for various biotinylation and bioassay applications. These functional biotin products were purified by chromatography to remove impurities and ensure adequate applications both in-vitro and in-vivo.
