Product Description:
Cy5 labeled laminarin is one of Nanocs fluorescent polysaccharide derivatives that have Cy5 dyes covalently attached to the laminarin backbone. Cy5 is a near infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye that emits strong fluorescent light at 670 nm upon excited at 650 nm. Laminarin, also known as laminaran, is a water soluble polysaccharide of glucose found in brown algae and utilized as a food reserve. Laminarin contains 1,3-linked-beta-d-glucose residues with different degrees of 6-O branching and beta-(1,6) intrachain links.
Cy5 labeled laminarin conjugate can be used for enzymatic activity study and other biomedical research use.
