Synonyms: Alkyne PEG Carbonylacrylic acid, Carbonylacrylic acid PEG5k Alkyne, Carbonylacrylic PEG Alkyne
Product Description:
Carbonylacrylic PEG Alkyne is one of Nanocs' thiol reactive PEG derivatives that have a terminal Alkyne group which can go Copper catalyzed Click Chemistry. Similar to Maleimide, carbonylacrylic group reacts with thiol group quickly to form a stable thiol ether bond via so called ene-thiol Michael addition. Unlike maleimide-thiol adduct, the reaction between carbonylacrylic acid and thiol is non-reversible, and therefore the adduct is more stable for carbonylacrylic acid thiol conjuate. Carbonylacrylic acid reagents have been excellent reagents for site-specific Cysteine modification. Alkyne, on the other hand, can react to azide group via Click Chemistry catalyzed by copper catalyst.
