NHS-S-S-PEG-Biotin:

NHS dithio PEG biotin (NHS-S-S-PEG-Biotin) is one of Nanocs' cleavable biotinylation PEG reagent that can reactive with primary amine groups. Succinimidyl ester (NHS) group reacts with primary amine group at alkaline pH quickly and specically. Reaction between NHS and amine forms a stable amide bond. Disulfide bond between NHS and PEG biotin can be easily cleaved by dithio reducing reagents such as DTT or TCEP. PEG linker between NHS and biotin offers better water solubility, less steric hindrance and enhanced stability. NHS-SS-Biotin is readily soluble in aqueous buffer. All reactions can be performed in aqueous solution without need any organic solvents. Resulted biotin moiety can bind to avidin or streptavidin with high affinity and specificity.
