Desthiobiotin PEG Azide:

Desthiobiotin PEG Azide is one of Nanocs' reactive desthiobiotin derivatives. Azide is a commonly used click chemistry functional group that can react with alkyne catalyzed by copper ion. It can also react with strain-promoted cyclooctyne such as DBCO spontaneously without need any catalyst. Reaction between azide and alkyne allows attachment of destionbiotin tag to targeted molecules or material substrates with high efficiency. Resulted desthiobiotin can bind to avidin or streptavidin, and it can be eluted from avidin/streptavidin complex under milder conditions. PEG linker between azide and desthiobiotin offers higher water solubility, reduced steric hindrance and enhanced activity.
