NHS-S-S-PEG-Silane
|
Synonym: NHS-dithio-PEG-Silanen, Silane-PEG-SS-NHS, Silane-PEG-dithio-NHS
NHS dithio PEG Silane (NHS-S-S-PEG-Si) is one of Nanocs' cleavable surface reactive Silane PEG reagents that can reactive with primary amine groups. Succinimidyl ester (NHS) group reacts with primary amine group at alkaline pH quickly and specically. Reaction between NHS and amine forms a stable amide bond. Silane group, on the other hand, can react with many substrate surfaces including glass, silica or some metals to form a stable silanol bond. Disulfide bond between NHS and PEG silane can be easily cleaved by dithio reducing reagents such as DTT or TCEP. PEG linker between NHS and silane offers better water solubility, less steric hindrance and enhanced stability.
