Kainic acid

Kainic acid, also called Kainate, is an agonist for kainate-class ionotropic glutamate receptors. Kainate receptors are non-NMDA glutamate-recognizing ionotropic receptors, and generates excitation and contribution to excitatory postsynatic currents. Excess stimulation by Kainic acid induces excitotoxic seizures in neurotransmission studies. Nanocs is a leading provider for high purity (over 99%) kainic acid that comes in various packaging size.
